Yes we have full public and employer liability which is subject to £100 excess so this is not for minor breakages in your home.
We specialise in tailoring our service to meet your needs. If you need extra time at short notice please don’t hesitate to call as we will always do our best to fit you in. Conversely, if you do not want us on your normal cleaning day for any reason please let us know at least 24 hours before or you will be charged in full.
Our minimum service period is 2 hours. Bookings can be made for the minimum period plus increments of ½ hours thereafter.
We don’t believe in tying our customers into lengthy contract, we believe are services ensure our customers want to stay with us. All we require is a one weeks’ notice if you would like to cancel the service
Most of our clients set up a regular standing order to pay for their service or you can be invoiced at the end of each month, ensuring that payment is made within 14 days of receiving the invoice. If you prefer, you can pay by cash or cheque made payable to Light & Airey Cleaning Services. You should leave this out for our cleaning assistant to collect on the day of your clean. If you forget to leave the cash or cheque out please leave enough to cover two visits next time. If you forget again, don’t worry we will call to arrange payment and to set up a standing order to make it easier for you.
We interview each cleaning assistant personally and ensure all references from former employers are checked. Some also have Criminal Record Bureau certificates (also known as a CRB certificate) from previous employment.
For our regular cleans you are required to supply both the equipment and cleaning products unless it is a green cleaning service. Light and Airey will provide the cleaning products for green cleaning and you the customer will provide the cleaning equipment.
To enable our cleaners to operate as efficiently as possible and to provide you with the best possible clean we ask you to pick up clothes, toys or other household items before we arrive.
You will get the same cleaner every week, unless your cleaner is on holiday or off sick.
Most of our customers are not at home when we carry out their clean. If you would like us to hold your keys you can be assured of the highest levels of security. Keys are identified only by means of a numeric code – your name and address do not appear on the key ring. This code refers to your details on our database which are accessible only by senior management.
If your scheduled cleaning day falls on a public holiday, then this clean will not take place. We will try to reschedule to another day or default to the next scheduled visit, whichever is your preference.
Please let us know in advance if you are going to away from home and we there will be no charge for the clean as long as we know you are away. If we turn up for a clean and we are not able to access the property you will be charged for the clean.
Our cleaning assistants are highly-trained and will clean your home to the highest standard. All our employees are uniformed and insured
